Think about it—How much eye contact do you make with your students as you teach?

Watching your students as you present the lesson is the best way in which to monitor their responses. Check to see if all students are responding and if responses are on signal. Eye contact will also help you to better determine the level of confidence with which the group responds. The best way to increase your eye contact with the students is through lesson preparation; be familiar with the formats and scripting ahead of time so that, as you present the lesson, you can focus more on what the students are doing. Preparation is key!
