Tip of the Week

During oral story reading, do not allow other students to shout out corrections if the reader makes an error. Not only is this embarrassing for the reader, but you also run the risk of a student calling out another incorrect word, thereby causing even further confusion. Be sure your students know the rule: The teacher makes all corrections.
